Role Based Access

Users can be given permission to view pages and modules, as well as edit pages and modules with one or more security roles.

User Accounts
Administrators can create user accounts for any person, or they can enable site visitors to register for a user account. Once a user has an authorized user account, they can access all pages and modules authorized for viewing by their role. Permissions to view and/or edit can be granted to Individual users. All users who are members of a selected role can be granted view and/or edit permission to a page or a module.

Editor Roles

  • Content Editors: Content Editors are any users with role access to one or more modules.
  • Page Editors: Page Editors have rights to manage one or more pages and to add pages and modules to these pages.
  • Administrators: Have permanent rights to manage all page and module content.

Role Based Access to Pages and Modules

  • All Users: Includes all unauthenticated and authenticated users.
  • Unauthenticated Users: Users that have not elected to Login to the portal. This is also known as public access.
  • Registered Users A Registered User of the site. Registered Users are able to manage their User Account online, and may also belong to one or more security roles.
  • Administrators: Administrators have the ability to edit all content in the portal. 

Content Editor
Content Editors need to be familiar with the module settings and modules functions in use on the pages they manage. The Module section of this manual provides instructions for individual module management.

Content Editor Functions:

  • View module content
  • Search for module content
  • Edit module content
  • Delete content
  • Page Editor *

* Page Editors need to be familiar with page and modules settings and module functions in use on the pages they manage. The Module section of this manual provides instructions for individual module management.

Administrator
Administrators should need to be familiar with site, page and modules settings and user management and module functions to manage the portal.

Profile Management
Users should edit their passwords the the first time they Login. Administrators should also add secuirty roles to the portal.

  • Create pages
  • Add modules
  • Configure and set module permissions and configuration.
